The weather outside was frigidly cold as Josh Todd, the lead vocalist of Buckcherry, took the stage at Toad’s Place on Wednesday night.  Inside, Toads was steaming hot and anything but frigid.  Todd wore a tight fitting leather jacket with nothing underneath but his many tattoos.

Todd owned the crowd as he began his high energy set with “So Far” from Buckcherry’s latest album, “15”.  The songs flowed seamlessly from new songs like “Broken Glass” to classics such as “Dirty Mind” and then back to “15’s”, “Sorry”.

“Next to You” showcased the talented, Xavier Muriel on drums.  A fan, set on the stage, blew his hair around in a sexy 80’s hair metal way.  All the members looked at ease, especially guitarist Stevie D. as he smiled into the crowd.  Jimmy Ashhurst on bass and Keith Nelson on guitar were cool and composed during the performance, moving around the stage and interacting with the fans.

Buckcherry continued playing one hit after another from their 1999 self titled debut album and 2001’s "Time Bomb".  Then they played their latest single, “Everything”.  “Everything” made the biggest impression on me.  It’s the kind of song that changes your heartbeat and fills you with excitement.

They could have ended their set with “Everything” but they had three more songs to go.  The crowd became louder with each one.  Buckcherry ended the night with “Lit Up” from their debut album.  We were in good spirits as we left Toad’s Place and didn’t even notice the 20 degree weather.
