Take Action Tour!

We arrived at The Webster to see this year’s Take Action Tour only to find the parking lot and surrounding streets overflowing with cars.  We had to park way down the street at the Webster’s other parking lot behind a church.   Once we entered The Webster, I realized that the parking was the easy part.  Now I had to make my way through the hundreds of fans lined up to purchase merch and meet the bands.  By the time I made my way to the barricade, I had completely missed the first two bands, Every Avenue and Anarbor, which was extremely disappointing because I had never seen them and was really looking forward to it.  I think that every fourteen to seventeen year old in Connecticut was at the Webster that night.

I had a few minutes to set up my cameras as Meg and Dia were doing their sound check.

They performed a beautiful cover of Blind Melon’s “No Rain”.

Breath Carolina was up next and the crowd went insane.

As Shaant of Cute is What We Aim For entered the stage, I could tell something was different about him.  He had a harder edge to him than I remember.  It was an unexpected, but pleasant surprise.

The Take Action Tour was a definite success.  I heard several people mention that they would be going to other spots on the tour including, New York City and Florida.
